This talisman is created from 925 silver coins from the Indian mint dating back to the beginning of the last century. Minted under the authority of the British Empire, the obverse side of the coin features a representation of the face of King George V of the United Kingdom and Emperor of India from 1910 until his death in 1936. These coins are a tangible legacy of a pivotal era in Indian history, combining history, culture, and wealth in a small, precious object.
Silver coins of the early 20th century were not only a medium of exchange but also a reflection of economic stability and the importance of silver in the Indian colonial economy.
